DBS-Direct Booking System

The Direct Booking System is the hotel owns guest reservations systems where guests directly get reservation confirmation from the hotel itself. Hotels use their website and other direct booking channels like email, the sales team, social media, or messaging tools like WhatsApp or Messenger to get guest reservations. Direct bookings are reservations guests confirm directly with a property without using an online travel agency (OTA) or third-party intermediary.

DBS wants to be your part in any of your booking channels, like as a sales team using your digital presents like website booking, email, and social media marketing, by a permanent contract with you. DBS will be both way responsible, like making your hotel online presence and in-person sales effort. We will work with you as part of your own booking system.

Basically, booking might be done in two ways: 1) direct bookings and 2) indirect bookings. Direct booking is much more profitable than reservations via OTAs since there are no commissions paid to third parties, so the acquisition cost per guest goes down. Direct booking also allows for upselling opportunities, which generates more revenue.
